 FORGIVENESS
Completely different and separate from forgetting. What is forgotten need not be forgiven. Forgiving an offense does not require that one forget and possibly become vulnerable to being victimized.

TO FORGIVE:
 
 - To give up resentment of or claim to requital
           Ex. To forgive an insult
 - To grant relief from payment
           Ex. To forgive a debt
 - To cease to feel harshly toward
           Ex. To forgive an offender
 - To pardon
           Ex. To pardon an enemy
 - To grant forgiveness
 - To excuse

- We are to be God-like, Christ-like Lk 23:34
